Resumen
En el presente artículo se realiza una revisión sistemática de la literatura internacional sobre los factores que impulsan una diversificación económica exitosa que pueden ser objeto de políticas públicas y de estrategias industriales regionales. Mediante la identificación, la evaluación y la integración de los estudios empíricos más relevantes y de alta calidad en el tema, fueron identificados los mecanismos más determinantes para alcanzar una diversificación productiva que impulse el crecimiento económico de los países y regiones. Los principales resultados son discutidos considerando las características para su implementación regional en México.
